Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB-551-0.2) is a cellulose ester with high butyryl content and relatively low molecular weight. It is compatible with numerous cross-linking resins and has a lower solution viscosity.
In coatings & paints application, CAB-551-0.2 gives clear films, reduces surface tack and mottling, minimizes cratering, improves flow and thermal reflow, and provides inter coat adhesion and good UV stability. It is useful for durable cross-linked formulations. Its good compatibility with a wide range of curing resin systems and its solubility in a wide variety of solvents and solvent combinations make it useful as an additive in numerous coating compositions. Based on those performance, our CAB-551-0.2 is widely applied to Automotive Original Paints (OEM), Automotive Plastic and metal Components‘ coating, Nail polish, Trucks Buses and Commercial Vehicles' Coatings, Print ink and so on.

Our CAB-551-0.2 is based on cellulose, one of the most abundant natural renewable resources. It is a green, healthy, and sustainable chemical product. It is widely used in coatings and paints for auto OEMs, auto plastics, auto refinishing, automotive parts and accessories, automotive protective coatings, personal care ingredients, print inks, and small appliances for non-food contact, among other applications.

Remark:
1. Viscosity to be tested by Ubbelohde viscometer 0.24mm
2. Solution to test color and haze: 20% CAB 80% Ethyl Acetate .
3. To measure Color number by Pt-Co color scale, and to measure Haze by turbidimeter.

Package & Storage:
Package: 20kgs/ctn with an inner PE bag, palletized: 6ctns/layer, 10 layers(60ctns)/pallet .
Loadability in container 20'/40' (Palletized): 12000kg. / 24000kg.
Store at room temperature. Keep package closed after using.
Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.
If it exceeds the 2-year shelf life, it can continue to be used after passing the test.
