Kabasph®SCA-9160X is a poly-urea modified acrylic resin with fine needle-like poly-urea crystals forming hydrogen bonds, giving strong thixotropy and anti-sagging rheology control. For automotive OEM acrylic-amino top clearcoats, it prevents sagging and ensures uniform film thickness and appearance without harming flow/leveling. Low amine value (≤7 mgKOH/g), fineness ≤15 μm, recommended dosage 11–16% on total formulation—a reliable choice for high-quality automotive coatings.

l Rheology control: Prevents sagging while maintaining excellent leveling, with no significant reduction in solids content.
l Pigmented systems: Helps prevent settling, flocculation, and flooding.

l Melamine baking paints: SCA is “built into” the film during baking, so the original SCA is no longer present in the cured film, which retains optimum gloss and transparency.
l Film properties: No adverse effect on solvent resistance, chemical resistance, or mechanical properties.
l High efficiency: As part of the Kabasph®high-efficiency SCA resin range, it offers high SCA active content. Recommended dosage can be only about 50–70% of conventional SCA resins on the market, which typically have an active content of 2–3%, helping reduce customers’ operating costs.
l Compared with conventional anti-sagging agents such as silicates, waxes, and organic clays, SCA resins provide rheology control without sacrificing gloss, transparency, or film properties.
l System suitability: As part of the Kabasph®SCA resin range, it is suitable for both melamine-based baking paints and 2K PU paints.
